Choosing A Session

We have several different types of sessions throughout the summer each targeted to a particular group of kids. Our primary objective is to offer a north woods camping experience to deserving youth who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend camp through our Local Lodge Sessions. If you or a family member are members of the Elks, see the Elks Kids Week and Elks Family Weekend below for camp options for you.

  • Local Lodge Sessions: There are four (4) sessions during the summer beginning in June that are dedicated to hosting children in our local communities. If you are not a member of the Elks but wish to send your child to our camp, please review the Local Lodge Session page for more information.
  • Troops Kids: The Minnesota Elks wish to show support and appreciation for our troops and their families by offering a free week of recreational camp at the incredible Minnesota Elks Youth Camp in Nisswa, Minnesota. The camp is for boys and girls ages 9 to 13. While we are especially interested in offering this camp to children of deployed troops, all military families are welcome to sign up for this fun camp. Repeat campers are encouraged to come back for more than one experience. If you are a military family and wish to register your child, please visit our Troops Kids page.
  • Elks Kids Week Session: We have two sessions of one week apiece set aside for the children and grandchildren of current Elks members. If you or your spouse or your parents are current Elks members, this is the session for your child. Read more about this session on our Elks Kids Week page.
